Mrs. Andrée Noël is a senior expert in telecom regulation with more than 25 years of experience in this sector. Mrs. Noël was Chair of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, the self-regulatory body of the Broadcasting industry in Canada from 2012 until she retired in early 2018. She acted as a consultant for a number of broadcasters and telecommunications operator from 2007 to 2011. From 1998 to 2007 she was Regional Commissioner for Quebec at the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the Canadian regulator. Prior to that, she held various top management positions such as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs as well as Director of Public Affairs at Fonorola Inc., a company providing telecommunication services. Mrs. Noël was a member of the Bar of Quebec and the Canadian Bar Association from 1974 until her retirement in early 2018. She is a former President of the Association of Secretaries and General Counsels of Quebec and a former member of the Council of the Bar of Montreal and of the Council of the Bar of Quebec. She also served as a member of the Council on the Status of Women of the government of Quebec, appointed by the Minister, and sat on the Boards of various public and private institutions.
